OUR IMPACT

YOMU interventions have inspired youth both in and out of school to engage in productive work and hold their leaders accountable. The experience YOMU has gained has enabled them implement youth-led projects, a niche that has been identified since YOMU’s formation in 2009.

This change has been realized through the interactions and the experiences the youth are generally facing. Lack of income generating options, alcoholism, idleness, laziness, contractive HIV/AIDS, early pregnancy and dropping out of school are among the challenges the young people are faced with.

YOMU is convinced that to transform the trends that the young people are facing, there is need to empower them with the right skills to demand or hold both elected and appointed leaders accountable.
