ABOUT US
ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
Youth Movers Uganda (YOMU) was founded in 2009 as a Community Based Organization (CBO) by two like-minded friends, namely Ms. Kipwola Anne and Ms. Aling flora. Their constant interaction with young people in the course of their development work in the post-conflict communities in Northern Uganda enabled them to develop the idea of working with the youth.
YOMU has since then grown into a large Local NGO. This has further provided skills ind esigning and managing youth-led enterprises for the groups that YOMU is currently working with.
Partnerships with both national and international organizations have been established. Such partners include NUMAT, UN-WFP, SOS, ACORD, Gulu NGO Forum and Gulu University in ensuring that the conditions of life for the young people are improved. YOMU aims at supporting and collaborating with structures and offices that are critical in working with young people.
